About Me/Contact
Hello!
I’m Alex, creeping through my mid twenties and hail from the lovely (rainy) English county of West Yorkshire.
I loved riding when I was a young kid but only revisited mountain biking seriously in my late teens. On returning, the evolution of the scene left me baffled as I tried to get back on the saddle. Downhill, Freeride…Enduro? What happened to just riding your bike, does it really need to be categorized?
When creating this site I wanted to share my experiences on the cycling scene, which has boomed in popularity in recent years, especially with guides to trails and gear. I hope that writing from the viewpoint of the average rider would appeal to readers such as myself and make it easier to relate to.
When hunting for the most informative review of bikes and gear I found that they usually were user comments rather than from magazines. I sought to put together something that would simplify the oft confusing world of riding with layman’s terms, my personal take on it and a healthy pinch of humour. I have to admit, I’m a fair weather rider. When it rains, I stay in!
I’d love to hear from you and if you’d like to get in touch about anything on my site please do so by dropping me an email at [email protected] or use the contact form below.
Thanks for stopping by! Go get planning your next adventure on two wheels!
Unless it’s raining, has recently rained, or looks like it might rain…
